You overkill the positive side of the volt circuit andignore the ground circuit. Basic electrical circuit design requires acomplete path back to the battery through the ground circuit, and if ithas high resistance, then the electrical device will operate poorly. Bad grounds happen everywhere, but the worst case is when guys relocatethe battery to the trunk, run a nice, thick multi-strand cable from thebattery to the starter solenoid, then merely bolt the ground cable tothe trunk floor or other easily accessible spot and leave it at that. Avoltage-drop test see page 58 on that ground circuit will probablyreveal an inexcusable 1. The fix is to either run a large ground cable all the way up to theengine, or a large ground from the battery to the frame and another fromthe frame to the engine. Another common grounding failure is an electric fuel pump pulling 4 to 5amps.

Wiring your Philippine house. As part of our project to build our house in the Philippines, we had to learn about Philippine residential electrical systems. As with our other writings, we do our best to chronicle our missteps as well as our successes, so that our readers get slice of reality about coming to the Philippines and building a house, not a fairy tale. The transformer serving our house Our pole-mounted meter.
From the standpoint of electrical engineering theory, the Philippine system is similar to that used in the U.
Most musclecar electrical systems werenever intended to handle great electrical loads.
Servicing Fender Amplifiers This is my Fender amp servicing guide. I developed this service guide after many years of servicing Fender Vintage amplifiers. Many Fenders used the same circuit inside with just a few different parts in the same spot on the board. You don’t need a special service guide for each amp to be able to service a Deluxe Reverb, Super Reverb, Pro reverb or any of the vintage fender amps.
Before doing any service work on an amplifier, you must make sure the amplifier is unplugged from the wall and the filter caps are drained. Filter caps can hold a charge that can give you a severe shock. The easiest way to drain your filter caps is to warm up the amp and then play the amp. Do not shut the amp off with the power switch or the standby switch. Just unplug the amp from the wall and keep strumming your guitar until the sound dies away.
Once the sound dies down, the voltage in the filter caps will be below a level that can hurt you. There will still be a small voltage present in the caps but it is not enough to give you a nasty shock.

Since we used 12 AWG for our lightly loaded lighting circuits, we have plenty of capacity even with the cut strands.
I already had most of these — — — After I had a decent collection of wire and bits I started by scribbling a few sketches for how I thought the batteries should be connected, fused, isolated etc and then just made it up as I went along. One thing worth mentioning here is that the 0v terminals on the solar regulator are not common which caught me out! First I tried soldering the cable into the crimp but a 60w iron is not powerful enough so that was a fail.
The next thing I tried was crimping with mole grips which worked but looked quite messy. The best method I found was hitting hard just once with a hammer against a stone paving slab I installed the power distribution stuff under the smaller part of the bed. It seemed to be a convenient place right near the batteries and out of the way but easily accessed Some more stuff to go under here like the CTEK charger and mains hookup incomer I used a 16mm2 wire to ground the battery negative common rail to the van chassis.
Shakeproof washers — important I wire brushed the grounding point to get a nice electrical contact Here is the latest picture of the electronics. Mains hookup The mains hookup will be used for when there is mains available — campsites, lamp posts etc. It will be used to power the CTEK charger which will charge the batteries and supply the normal 12V power.
The mains hook up stuff consists off an RCD, two breaker, two sockets and a V mains indication light. The RCD and breakers are housed in the garage consumer unit left. Each breaker feeds one socket which gives the option of a 6A feed and a 16A feed. The mains indication light is wired after the RCD and before the breakers.

During a blackout, the switch is changed to the lower position and the generator is started.
In essence, then, two of the three wires at the wall receptacle are actually grounded wires, one being used for power flow, and the other connected only to exposed metal parts on the equipment.
